Damascus Gallery

Khaled Barakeh was born in Damascus in 1976. In 2003 he graduated in Drawing and Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Damascus University. With no formal education in photography, Khaled bought his first camera three years ago and has been experimenting with the medium ever since. Combining his artwork with social work, Khaled has spent eleven years programming projects for orphaned children with the Palestinian Red Crescent Society in Damascus.
